Help: Observatories

These tables contain the list of observatories available in the NEOCC database. For each observatory, the corresponding MPC observatory code, location parameters, and links to residual analysis products are provided. The entries of the tables are described below.

Code. Observatory code assigned by the Minor Planet Center.

Name. Official name of the observatory.

Longitude in deg. East longitude of the observatory, expressed in decimal degrees.

Distance from Axis in Earth Radii. Distance of the observatory from the Earth's rotation axis, expressed in Earth radii.

Height above Equatorial Plane in Earth Radii. Height of the observatory above the Earth's equatorial plane, expressed in Earth radii.

Download JSON File. Hyperlink to download a JSON file containing the astrometric residuals in Right Ascension and Declination for the selected observatory.

Scatter Plot. Hyperlink to a scatter plot showing the distribution over the time of the astrometric residuals in Right Ascension and Declination for the selected observatory.

Residuals RA vs Dec. Hyperlink to a scatter plot of the Right Ascension residuals as a function of the Declination residuals for the selected observatory.
