Imminent Impactors
This table contains a list of NEAs with confirmed 100% Earth impact. The columns provide key parameters used in the assessment, including nominal impact time, absolute magnitude, and estimated size range. The entries of the table are described below.
- Nominal impact date and time. The computed nominal impact date and time, with the specific time range detailed in the corresponding figure. The impact is calculated at 0 km altitude, without considering atmospheric effects.
- Nominal absolute magnitude. The nominal absolute magnitude of the object.
- Diameter range in m. The estimated diameter range in metres, derived from the absolute magnitude and assuming an albedo between 0.05 and 0.25.
The figure below the table provides additional context, including:
- A map indicating the potential impact location.
- The first and last observations used for the orbit determination.
- The total number of observations used.
- The median latitude and longitude of the impact area.
