Asteroid 2024 YR4 was identified last year as the most dangerous asteroid discovered in the last 20 years, triggering for the first time a threat communication by IAWN. Thanks to an intense international observation campaign the risk of this asteroid impacting the Earth was completely removed. However, a 4% impact probability remained for the Moon in December 2032.

Thanks to very challenging new observations obtained with the James Webb Space Telescope the above risk has been now completely eliminated. Read the whole news in this link.
